The problem
Sagenel needed a digital home that could hold more than one role at once — licensed counseling, teaching, writing, TV/radio, and a shop — without feeling scattered. The site already existed on WordPress; the job was to make it clearer, more trustworthy, and easier for visitors to book sessions or explore her work.
What I built
I came in on an existing WordPress build and tightened what was already there: clearer hierarchy on the homepage hero, stronger Meet / Explore CTAs, and cleaner paths through Blog, WOMEN Leadership, About, Shop, Contact, Sagenel TV, and Apps. The focus was practical — improve structure, polish key sections, and keep the brand voice intact while making conversion moments (contact, booking, media) easier to find.
Signals
- Live
- Production site at sagenel.com
- Multi-channel
- Counseling, media, shop, and teaching
Approach
- Audit the live WordPress site for confusing navigation, weak CTAs, and content that competed for attention.
- Refine homepage storytelling so visitors immediately understand who Sagenel is and what to do next.
- Edit and improve key pages/sections so counseling, media, and shop surfaces feel connected rather than bolted on.
- Keep iteration client-friendly: WordPress so content can continue to evolve without a full rebuild.
Scope notes
- This wasn't a greenfield build from zero — I improved and extended an existing WordPress site.
- Brand photography and core positioning remained the client's; my work was structure, polish, and usability.
- Ongoing content (blog posts, shop inventory, media embeds) stays with the client after handoff.
